Receiving messages
Forward messages, follows and button taps on your LINE account to your app so it can react to them.
LINE is two-way. When a customer sends a message to your connected Official Account, follows it or taps a button, Stardeck forwards that event to your app, and your app can react however you describe.

Cust["π¬ Customer"] -- "sends a message" --> LINE["LINE"]
LINE -- "webhook" --> SD["βοΈ Stardeck"]
SD -- "forwards event" --> App["π± Your app"]
For this to work, your account's webhook URL must be set in the LINE console. See Connect LINE.
What your app can react to
Events forwarded to your app include:
- Messages β a customer sends text to your account
- Follows / unfollows β a customer adds or removes your account
- Button taps β a customer taps an action button you sent earlier
- Group events β your account is added to or removed from a group
Messages can also be images, videos, audio, or files. Stardeck re-hosts that media at a permanent contentUrl and sets the message's mediaType. contentUrl is missing if the download failed, so check for it before you use the file.
Choosing which app receives events
A grant alone doesn't forward events. In the app's Settings β Integrations tab, each granted connection has an Event Forwarding list. Pick a deployment from Forward to... and add it, for example the sandbox while you build and production when you go live. When several apps share one LINE account, only the deployments you add receive its events.
Your coding agent can set this up too: over Stardeck's MCP server it lists and adds forwarding targets, and asks you to confirm first, because the deployment starts acting on real messages.
Build it
Ask your coding agent, or describe it in the app's Build tab:
When someone messages our LINE account, look up their recent order and reply with its statusWhen a new customer follows our LINE account, save them to our contacts and send a welcome messageThe agent writes the route that receives the events and the code that replies.
Want the replies handled by an AI agent rather than logic you describe? Pair your LINE account to a Starcat Customer Agent that converses with customers automatically and lets your team approve drafts or take over. (In early accessβask support if you don't see Conversations in your dashboard.)
