Partner Program
How the Stardeck partner program works: the two paths, commission, deal registration, billing, go-live and leaving
Stardeck partners sell, build and look after Stardeck apps for their own clients. This page explains the program in plain language. The partner agreement you accept in the dashboard is what binds you and Stardeck. If this page and the agreement differ, the agreement wins.
To apply, go to the partners page. To run client organizations once you're in, see Partner Organizations.
What you get
The main difference from a regular Stardeck account: from your Partner Dashboard you can open an organization for each client. It starts on the free plan so you can build, and the client's first plan comes with a 30-day free trial, so you can set it up before the client pays. A regular sign-up gets 7 days.
There is no fee to join. Once you're accepted, your own organization also gets the Growth plan free, for demos and your team's own work, unless it already pays for a plan or is on Growth or above. You can move it to Scale or any other plan yourself.
The agreement runs for one year and renews each year on its own. You can stop it renewing with 30 days' notice before the year ends.
Choose a path for each client
For every client, pick one of two paths. You can take different paths with different clients.
| Builder | Managed partner | |
|---|---|---|
| What you do | Sell the deal, set up the app, import data, test, train and hand off at go-live | Build and launch the app, then provide the support and changes you agree with the client |
| What you earn | Your setup fee, plus a one-time bonus of 10% of the client's first software payment | Your setup fee and your own service fees, plus monthly commission on the client's software |
| Paid | Within 14 days of Stardeck receiving that first payment | Monthly, within 30 days of month-end |
The builder bonus and commission never both apply to the same client. On an annual plan, the builder bonus is 10% of the year the client paid.
At go-live, every client either has a named managed partner or uses only Stardeck's standard AI support, which every plan includes. Stardeck does not take over a partner's support queue, promises or unfinished work.
Commission levels
Managed partners earn a share of the software each client pays. Your level depends on the monthly software revenue across all the clients you manage.
| Level | Commission | From |
|---|---|---|
| Registered | 10% | When you sign up and get certified |
| Silver | 15% | ฿15,000 a month, or $500 a month |
| Gold | 20% | ฿50,000 a month, or $2,000 a month |
Levels are checked every month. A new level applies from the next month and never changes commission already earned.
What earns commission
- Plans and monthly Module fees that Stardeck actually receives, after discounts and before tax.
- Not setup fees, your own markup or service fees, usage packs, or third-party charges.
- Commission starts with the client's first payment, after any free trial. It is never backdated.
- An annual plan earns commission on the amount paid, in one payout in the month it's paid.
- Upgrades earn commission when they're collected. Downgrades take effect at renewal.
- A refund reduces the related commission. A chargeback reverses it until the money is recovered.
Each month you get a statement listing every client, payment, rate and adjustment. Raise anything wrong within 30 days. There's no minimum payout.
Registering a deal
Register each client in your Partner Dashboard before you start. A registered deal is protected for 90 days: Stardeck won't lead that client to another partner. If two partners register the same client, the first registration wins.
Two exceptions:
- If Stardeck was already talking to the client before you registered, Stardeck decides how to go ahead with them.
- The client can always choose another provider, and Stardeck can step in if a project is abandoned, fails or puts the client at risk.
Pricing and billing
On clients you bring, you set your own prices and keep your whole setup fee. Stardeck's recommended setup price is only a guide.
On clients Stardeck brings you:
- Stardeck-sourced leads. You pay Stardeck a referral fee on the setup, usually 15–20%. If Stardeck already quoted the client a price, you honor it. Both are written on the deal before you accept it. If you collect the client's payment, the fee is due within 14 days.
- Stardeck-contract deals (Enterprise and brand-sensitive clients). Stardeck signs the client and keeps a share of the setup, usually 20–30%. You work on matching back-to-back terms and are paid as the client pays, within 14 days of Stardeck receiving each payment.
Who bills the software
You choose for each deal:
- Stardeck bills the client for the software, and you bill your setup and services separately.
- You bill the client at any price you like, with your support and maintenance in the same bill or on a separate invoice. Stardeck bills you for the software at list price, and you owe it whether or not your client pays you.
If a software bill goes unpaid, Stardeck tells whoever was billed. Seven days after the due date the client's organization is suspended until the bill is paid. Nothing is deleted.
On partner deals Stardeck sells only the software. Support hours, change requests and on-site work are yours to sell.
Trial, review and go-live
- Open the client's organization from your Partner Dashboard. It starts on the free plan. The 30-day free trial starts when you choose the client's first plan, and the first payment is due when the trial ends. Client delays don't pause the trial. Setup takes 7–30 days, and most are done in about 14.
- Send your setup contract to Stardeck within 5 business days of signing it, and again after any change.
- Submit the setup for review. Stardeck signs it off or returns what needs fixing within 3 business days. Your first 3 go-lives are fully reviewed; after that, Stardeck spot-checks.
- Go live. Go-live is when the review passes. The client's app warranty starts then.
The review covers configuration and imported data, a real test payment, staff roles, the Register hardware if installed, completed training, a list of your custom code, and who supports the client after go-live. Passing it doesn't make Stardeck responsible for your custom code.
Your responsibilities
- Deliver the services you sell, and support your own custom code and integrations. Stardeck fixes bugs in its platform and Modules.
- Don't present your own work or paid changes as included Stardeck work, and don't make promises on Stardeck's behalf.
- Use client access only for authorized work, and put a data-processing agreement in place before you handle personal data.
- Report a data or security incident to Stardeck within 24 hours of finding out.
- You may use Stardeck's name and logos in your portfolio and marketing while you're a partner, following the brand guidelines. Don't register them as your own names, domains or handles.
Leaving the program
Either side can end the agreement for any reason with 30 days' written notice. Stardeck can end it immediately for misconduct such as fraud, misleading sales or misuse of client data.
When it ends:
- New commission stops. Commission on payments Stardeck received before the end date is still paid, within 30 days. Money a client paid you but you hadn't passed on to Stardeck by then doesn't count.
- Clients keep their subscriptions and data. A client with no new managed partner moves to Stardeck's standard AI support.
- With the client's permission, hand over project records, configuration, agreed code and access within 5 business days of being asked, at no extra charge.
- Stop calling yourself a Stardeck partner, and take down Stardeck branding you control within 5 business days.
In Thailand, Greenfield Labs Co., Ltd. may issue invoices, collect payments or pay commission on Stardeck's behalf. Your plan, invoice or deal says which company does what.
