Agents on Client Organizations
Connect your AI tools and coding agents to each client organization separately
An agent connection reaches one organization. A connection you authorized in your partner organization can't see or change your clients, and there is no switch to point it at another one. To let an agent work on a client, connect it to that client.
This covers every AI integration: Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and other MCP clients, and the local agent connection used when building an app on your machine.
Connect a client
- Add the Stardeck server in your tool under a name that says which client it is, such as
stardeck-acme. See Connect Your AI Tool for each tool's steps. - On the consent screen, pick the client organization. Your clients appear in the list because your team is an Admin in each one.
- Pick the role the connection acts as. These are the client's roles, not your partner's. Pick the least permissive one that covers the job.
- Pick Read only or Read & write.
Repeat for each client. The server URL is the same every time; only the organization you pick differs.
Several clients in one tool
Add one server entry per client, each with its own name. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user stardeck-acme https://www.stardeck.ai/api/mcp
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user stardeck-bloom https://www.stardeck.ai/api/mcpThen authenticate each one from /mcp and pick the matching client on its consent screen. Name the
client in your request ("in Acme's organization…") so the agent uses the right server.
Building a client's app locally
npm run setup in a client app's checkout connects that checkout to the app's organization. Run it
in each client's repository. See Connect Your Agent.
Managing client connections
- Each connection is listed under Dashboard → Agents in the client organization it reaches. Change its role or access, or revoke it, there.
- A connection works only while you are a member of that client. If the client is released, or you leave your partner organization or lose Manage Client Organizations, its connections stop on their next request.
