Going Live

Check your app's changes before you publish them

Lamp Coffee went live when you created it in the browser quickstart. The changes you've made since then, such as the stamp card, are in the sandbox. Customers see them only after you publish again.

Publish from the default branch. On a feature branch, merge first and check the result on the default branch. For the deploy steps and options, see Publishing & Deployment.

Before you publish

  • Content: no placeholder text, typos or missing details on the menu, booking and contact pages.
  • Mobile: switch the preview to Mobile and walk through booking a table.
  • Forms and buttons: submit every form and click every button.
  • Links: navigation and external links go where expected.
  • SEO: check page titles and descriptions with the SEO Inspector in the preview toolbar. See Sandbox & Preview.
  • Tests: if the app has workflow tests, run them from the Tests tab. They don't run on publish and don't block it. A commit whose full suite passed shows a Verified badge.
  • Surfaces: one publish ships the app and every ready Surface, such as the counter register and the booking page. See Surfaces.

Publish the changes

Open the app's Settings tab, go to Deployments → Production and click Review & Redeploy. Review the dialog and click Deploy. Then open lamp-coffee.stardeck.site and check that the stamp card is there.
